I would still recommend this book if you are looking for a nice mindless romance story.In Act Your Age, Eve Brown the flightiest Brown sister crashes into the life of an uptight B&B owner and has him falling hard-literally.Įve Brown is a certified hot mess. I also liked the sub theme around autism which was enlightening and relevant and I am delighted more stories like this are being told. The writing was still top notch although I found some of the dialogue between Eve and Jacob a bit cheesy, however there were still a good number of places that made me laugh out loud and overall it was still a pleasure to read. Jacob’s character too was not much to my liking and since It is important the characters in a story (good or bad) should be to my liking in some way, this affected my overall rating of the book. Funny enough, I found Eve’s character quite interesting in the other books and was looking forward to reading her story but was disappointed as I couldn’t relate much to her character. It took me a while to get into this one and I can say this is my least favorite out of the three books in the series. As they work alongside each other, they realize they have more in common than they imagined and slowly begin to form a bond despite Jacob’s hard exterior. Her first stop is at a Bed and Breakfast owned by Jacob Wayne who eventually employs Eve much to his displeasure but after a few days is forced to admit that it was a good decision as Eve proves to be quite helpful and competent. Eve is hurt by this but determined to prove herself. Eve Brown has not been able to hold down a job or even identify what she wants to do with her life and her parents have decided to show her some tough love by giving her an ultimatum to get a job and move out. This story is centered on the youngest Brown sister, Eve.
